Our Story
Where Bangladesh Meets Europe
Bangla Loom is a bridge between two worlds — the rich craft traditions of Bangladesh and the eco-conscious hearts of European consumers. Founded in Kehl, Germany, right on the French border.
Who We Are
Rooted in Chittagong, Growing in Europe
Bangla Loom was founded in Kehl, Germany — right on the French border — by a Bangladeshi civil engineer who grew up surrounded by the extraordinary craft traditions of Chittagong.
When he moved to Germany, he saw a clear gap: European eco-consumers were searching for authentic, handmade sustainable goods — while Bangladesh, home to 40% of the world’s jute, had no direct voice in the European market.
Every product we sell is sourced directly from artisan workshops in Bangladesh — never from intermediaries, never from China, never from mass factories. When you buy from Bangla Loom, you know exactly where your product was made, and by whom.

The Founder
“I wanted to build a business where my roots are the product — and Bangladesh’s finest craftsmanship finally gets the European platform it deserves.”
Founder & CEO — Bangla Loom
Civil Engineer & Bauleiter · Kehl, Baden-Württemberg, Germany
Born in Chittagong, Bangladesh, our founder came to Germany as a civil engineer. Watching family traditions fade while European consumers searched for exactly what Bangladesh produces, he founded Bangla Loom in 2025 — a direct bridge between Chittagong’s artisan community and eco-conscious consumers across Germany, France, and Switzerland.
